“Supervision can be a place where a living profession breathes and learns.”

Hawkins & Shohet

I am a fully qualified supervisor and I practice an integrative approach based on a combination of models including Inskipp & Proctor as well as Shohet's Seven Eyed Model. I provide supervision to a wide range of therapists from those starting their career by entering placement to those working in organisations, GP's, those working for EAPs and those with years of experience in private practice.  I also provide supervision for experienced therapists who are undertaking a Psychosexual, Couples and Sex Addiction courses.  I can also provide assistance with the accreditation process if required.

Supervision is a safe collaborative relationship which is client-centred. The supervisor acts as a third  eye providing a supportive, warm, caring, mentoring role with room for challenge and learning.  Supervision is a place where the supervisee can be vulnerable and open to exploring all aspects of  their practice and professional development. Both supervisor and supervisee adhere to a professional  code of ethics and legal framework with particular regard to an appreciation of diversity.

Purpose, Goals &  Objectives of Supervision:

To fulfil counselling profession standards, abiding by ethical & legal guidelines; To enhance the quality & creativity of how supervisee’s work with clients; To ensure supervisees provide sustainable & resilient services to clients; To review the supervisee’s allocation of work with clients & application of the ethical framework.
